2 hr Laboratory Experience August 8th 12pm - 1pm
2 Hour laboratory Experience
Children can join us in a real life laboratory for 2 hours!
Children will be wearing lab coats, goggles and using science equipment in an exciting laboratory setting!
We have designed a jam packed 2 hour session that provides children with an opportunity to use and handle a variety of skills and equipment through our usual fun and interactive science activities appropriate for the age group attending.
The activities children will be conducting in this session includes streaking agar plates with food colouring to mimic how we would streak bacteria in the lab, learning to use laboratory pipettes for pipetting coloured liquid for a fun chemistry activity, we will also be analysing how we can separate liquids using a centrifuge and demonstrating ways we can remove these liquids from one another using Pipettes.
All of our activities are safe and fully interactive, and a great opportunity for children to see the types of equipment used in the lab and what they are used for through fun, colourful activities!
What a fantastic opportunity for children to feel like real scientists in a real laboratory!
Suitable for children aged 8 - 12.
